AND THE 2025 EXHIBITION WAS FULL
Entries to the exhibition are accepted from any artists living in Cumbria that produce their own original artworks.
In the 2025 exhibition
we were over capacity at 119 entrants.
(only 113 exhibited due to illness or late withdrawals)
558 artworks have been submitted
Of these, many were first time entrants at our exhibition.
2025 – Another record breaking year
135 artworks were sold – that is 20% up on 2024
Sales by value up by a massive 28%
60 artists sold – 53% of the artists taking part
UP 13% on 2024
Over 1500 unique paying entrants
UP 11.5% on last year
This resulted in lovely comments online, in our comments book and verbally such as –
“Superb exhibition of great art”,
“Excellent exhibition” ,
“Blown away by the quality and variety of work” ,
“Amazing” ,
“The most serene experience, amazing” ,
“I can’t believe this is put on by volunteers, massive and so professional”
and many, many more.
In order to preserve the quality of presentation the committee try to limit the number of artists to 115
so please apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Each artist can submit up to five artworks. The committee endeavour to exhibit the first three at launch day and the remaining two are held in reserve , and will be exhibited as sales are made.
In 2025 all reserve artworks had been exhibited by the midpoint of the exhibition.
